Ford Focus Stars in 10 Best Redesigned Vehicles List

Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com named the hot-selling Ford Focus to its list of 10 Best Redesigned
Vehicles for 2012. Focus was honored for its styling, technology, comfort and convenience features, performance / capability, driving dynamics, safety, fuel economy, overall refinement and value.

Editors selected Ford’s latest small car offering because, 'Focus has been more than just redesigned for 2012; it’s been reworked, restyled and completely changed from the model it replaces,' all without straying from its “American roots.”

Both the Focus Sedan and Hatchback display the latest evolution of Ford's 'kinetic design' language that is both more aggressive and more aerodynamic. While their overall footprints remain similar to the 2011 Sedan, a slightly lower roofline, longer wheelbase and substantially wider front / rear track dimensions give the 2012 Focus lineup a more planted appearance.

Effectively accenting the new look are stylized headlamp / taillamp treatments and wheel / tyre fitments which include 215 / 55 R16 tyres with 16 inch steel wheels and alloy wheels on different grades.

The 2012 Ford Focus gets a clean-sheet recasting that brings a new look, enhanced quality, more features, and upgraded options in a slightly larger but far more dynamic package. Based on Ford's global C-platform, this compact front-driver features an international design pedigree and introduces numerous class-exclusive technologies, including a host of premium-level comfort / convenience / safety touches.

A comprehensive makeover raises an already popular player in its segment to a position of prominence and possible dominance thanks to the addition of a new hatchback body style, greatly expanded / upgraded feature set.

All 2012 Focus models are fitted with a new, naturally aspirated 1.6-liter in-line four that features gasoline direct fuel-injection and Ford's twin-independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT). This smooth free-revver makes 123 horsepower and 23.2 Kg-m of torque – and can be paired with a five-speed manual or a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic.

In Oman, Ford vehicles are brought to you by Arabian Car Marketing Co. LLC, a part of the renowned Saud Bahwan Group. They come with 6 years unlimited mileage protection, service and parts network that stretches across the Sultanate, over 98% parts availability - and Ford Privilege Card – which provides 24 hours On-road assistance from AAA.
