Ford Oman wins Customer Satisfaction
Contest.
 Arabian Car Marketing (ACM), the dealer
for Ford, Mercury & Lincoln vehicles in
Oman has won the 2006 Parts & Service
Customer Satisfaction Contest. The award
was conferred as part of the “Best
Practice Contest” conducted by Ford Motor
Company for Ford dealers. ACM bagged
the1st Prize award for “ Focusing on the
customer - for implementing extended
working hours at their facility. ACM is
part of the Saud Bahwan Group, the No.1
name in automobiles in Oman.
“Extended Working Hours” programme was
implemented at ACM’s integrated workshop
in Wattayah, as part of the endeavour to
deliver high level of service to Ford
customers. The normal working hours for
most offices in the capital area is from
08:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 for
private sector and 7:30 to 14.30 for the
Government sector. At Arabian Car
Marketing the need was felt to extend the
workshop working hours so that customers
could have access to the workshop outside
the working hours as well. Hence, working
hours at Ford’s Wattayah facility was
extended from 07:00 hours in the morning
to 21:30 hours in the evening, without a
break in the afternoon.
The move enabled Ford customers to drop
off or collect their vehicles after
working hours. To top it all, Ford
Workshop works 7 days a week. And during
weekends the facility remains open from
08:30 to 13:30 and 16:00 to 19:00 hours.
“This is part of Ford’s continuing efforts
to delight its customers. Our customers
are our ambassadors, and we wish to extend
the best service facilities to them,” says
a Ford spokesman. “It is this kind of
committed effort that makes our customers
come back to us time and again.” he added.
